Maggie Gyllenhaal has admitted she was jealous of her brother's film career because he became successful before she did. The Mona Lisa Smile star, whose brother is Donnie Darko heartthrob Jake Gyllenhaal, confessed that she became envious of her younger sibling because he was enjoying movie success while she was forced to stay at university. She told Britain's Night and Day magazine: 'Yeah, I was a little jealous in the beginning. Jake's career took off before mine and he put off going to college. 'I love my brother but he had so much success before me I did. In retrospect, it was a heartbeat before me but at the time if felt like two long years.' Meanwhile, the Hollywood beauty, who starred in raunchy movie The Secretary with heartthrob actor James Spader, has revealed her mother was worried about its sexual context. She explained: 'My mom was really worried about me when we were shooting because she didn't trust the movie in the way I did. She had read it, and thought, 'Oh God, if this script gets into the wrong hands, this could be terrible!' And then they saw it and I think they were so relieved.'
